Full day Itinerary

The trip starts in Uyuni with our 4×4 Jeep, stopping first at the train cemetery, then in the village of Colchani, which is an old salt extraction factory, which belongs to the local community.

In Colchani we will visit salt handicraft stores and see the manual processing of salt. Afterwards, we will visit the salt mines and salt piles (salt pyramids). After this, you will see the salt eyes (large holes in the desert where the water from underneath the ancient lake still comes out at high pressure). Then you go directly to the first salt hotel in Uyuni, built entirely with salt blocks extracted from the salt flat. Today it is a museum. Afterwards, we will visit IInkahuasi Island, which is characterized by its unusual and fragile coral structures, fossil and algae deposits, colonies of the rabbit-like vizcacha, and giant cacti.
